Ancotrans has signed a declaration of intent on the delivery of 10 Volvo Electric FH 4 x 2 T in spring 2023.
In Ancotrans we want to contribute to a greener and more sustainable transport. Therefore, we chose Volvo FH Electric 4 x 2, when we gave our declaration of intent on a series of electrical trucks for our European markets. Our intention is that four of the electrical trucks will be driving in Germany, four in Sweden and two in Denmark.
” I have test-driven one of the electrical trucks myself, and I am confident that our drivers will be really happy about the driving comfort. Electrical power will undoubtedly be a part of the future transportation within the heavy-duty transport industry, and we are truly looking forward to beginning this important transformation.”
Anne Kathrine Steenbjerge, CEO Ancotrans
An important step into electric mobility
Volvo consider electrical trucks as an important part of the solution when it comes to reducing CO2-emmision, but up until now the electrical trucks only represent a minor percentage of the entire truck market. Hopefully the states’s subsidy schemes will make more companies take the step and invest in electrical trucks.
“We are proud and happy about the cooperation with Ancotrans. To most customers it feels like a huge step to change into electric mobility, but to Ancotrans it seems like a natural step. A more green and sustainable transport have been on the agenda for a long period of time in Ancotrans, where more alternatives are being tested in their northern European markets. Their customers can also choose to CO2 compensate their transports. Volvo are looking forward to an exciting and developing cooperation with a lot of future opportunities.”
