Summer is getting much closer and though many of us cannot travel to the same extend as we used to during the holiday season, we hope that you will all enjoy a great and sunny summer whereever you are.

We also want to thank you for the support and understanding during the COVID-19 period. Together we have proven that the transport chain is strong and resilient even during very tough circumstances and we have kept the wheels and economy turning.

We are now almost all back to a more normal workday in the ANCO offices (some are still home due to some schools/kindergardens having restrictions) and we will keep up the high level of hygiene to ensure a healthy environment for all employees. Our drivers are all supplied with alco gel and masks (where required) on a running basis and we will make sure to keep up the level of caution in order to minimize the spreading of the Corona virus.

Earlier this year parties in the transport industry drafted some important recommendations on receiving and shipping goods. Please share with all the warehouses, loading and unloading sites or wherever goods are handled. This is a tribute to all the drivers and dispatchers, and to everyone behind the scenes who have kept the wheels turning these past few weeks… you’ve shown just how strong our transport chain is. Thanks to the support of our customers, and because of the hard work of our drivers, we’re still trucking in all markets.

 

To everyone juggling a full-time job while home-schooling kids and taking care of their families – thank-you! I’ve been amazed by the fact that we’ve actually seen less sickness across the organization throughout these challenging weeks. That business has continued almost as normal is a testament to the effectiveness of local leadership as well as the tight communication with each other and our customers.

 

We’re handling this crisis TOGETHER, which is the way it should be. Imports and exports are still happening, with many thousands of container trucking’s every week. Thanks to the spirit of togetherness I’ve seen lately, I know that when we experience a downturn, we’ll ride it out as a team. My warm THANKS to all of you.

Dear customers

Saturday at 12:00 the borders around Denmark closed temporarily until April 13th. 2020 due to COVID 19/Corona Virus. However the closing does not apply to any kind of transports of goods or workforce and we are therefore doing our best to carry on and maintain “business as usual” – In other words the borders are open to us and the goods that we are carrying for you.

It is very difficult for us to predict how easy the borders will be to cross but the authorities have announced that special corridors and lanes will be kept open only for the trucks. All measures are taken to keep the supply chain moving. Still we do anticipate some delays due to the situation and we will keep you informed during the transport.

We hope for your understanding in these extremely difficult times. We will keep on following the recommendations of the local authorities and will continuously inform about the measures/situation.

Dear customers

To make sure that we do our utmost to keep our drivers safe and the vital supply chain intact we have to make some changes to the way we handle receipts and documents at all loading places.

All kinds of receipts and documents will be handled by the drivers in the ANCO APP where we will write down the name of the recipient where ever possible. If there are any problems regarding this at the loading/unloading places please call us immediately in the Ancotrans’ offices and we will find a solution together. From today and until end of March we cannot take any responsibility for missing POD or other events related to this.

Dear customers

We are all struggling with the effects from the Corona virus spreading throughout the world. A situation that is far beyond anyone’s control. To make sure that we can still service you and keep the very important supply chain as intact as possible we have taken different measure that we would like to inform you about:

1. We have been in contact with our own drivers and subcontractors, and have asked them to report back if they have been traveling in the “Corona high risk areas” or been in contact with people who have visited these areas. Should this be the case, everyone is instructed that they will be quarantined = not driving for us for 14 days
2. Antibacterial gel are being distributed to all our trucks on an ongoing basis and we have sent the national Health Board’s general recommendations on good hygiene out as a reminder
3. At the same time, we urge all our customers to ensure that the safety regulations on the individual loading/unloading sites are posted in a visible place in multi-language. We can not inform all drivers in each transport about the different measures taken at each and every loading place
4. No drivers are allowed contact direct with office personnel
5. Extra cleaning in offices are being planned
6. No travelling between offices
7. No external meetings
8. No internal meetings will be held that last more than 15 minutes
9. And finally we will this week divide every office into smaller groups with NO contact (working offsite) to minimize contamination in bigger groups and quarantine risk for a whole office

We are doing our utmost to navigate in this difficult situation and will inform you on a running basis of any new measures. In Denmark we support “Lastbilkaravanen” (the truck caravan) a project initiated by the organization ITD to create awareness about trucks and road safety amongst the youngest school children. This year we are participating four places around Denmark and we hope to see as many participants as possible.
